Science
The Science Learning Area at KBCHS strives to create a learning environment that fosters students’ curiosity and critical thinking about phenomenon that exists in the world. We aim to develop scientific literacy amongst our students, providing them the ability to evaluate claims and make informed decisions about the world around them and develop a level of scepticism to question information provided to them.
Students in Years 7-10 will study the following strands as stated in the West Australian Curriculum:
Biological Sciences
Physical Sciences
Chemical Sciences
Earth and Space Sciences
Embedded within the study of this content is the development of Science Inquiry Skills and Science as a Human Endeavour.
