At Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School, our English program offers a dynamic and inclusive curriculum that supports every student’s unique strengths and interests. We aim to equip students with the essential language and literacy skills they need to thrive beyond school—whether in further education, training, or the workforce.
From Years 7 to 10, students explore a broad range of genres and engage in diverse, purposeful learning activities that build their confidence and communication skills.
Throughout their English studies, students will encounter both contemporary and classic texts, including:
Biographies and autobiographies
Poetry
Novels
Short stories
Film studies
Dramatic texts
Our goal is to foster critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for language and literature.
