Welcome message from the Principal

Welcome to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School website. This website is designed to give our school community valuable information about the school and the programs, people and courses that make it thrive. KBCHS has a strong culture of embedding positive behaviours through our ROAR values (Respect-Organised-Achieve-Responsible). These are at the cornerstone of the school culture and articulate the “KB Way”.

KBCHS was opened in 2006 and proudly offers secondary courses from Years 7 to 10. The school prides itself on having over 900 students from a range of cultural backgrounds who all contribute to a vibrant and collaborative school culture.

Kalgoorlie-Boulder has a proud history and heritage and has played and continues to play a vital role in the economic prosperity of our State. This also includes a rich Aboriginal history which KBCHS embraces, offering programs to support and advocate for our Aboriginal students including Stars, Clontarf and Follow the Dream. Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School also offers football and netball programs and a number of academic programs to support our students and to extend them.

Thanks to a $45 million injection in 2016, the school boasts some excellent, state-of-the-art facilities which are conducive to producing an exceptional environment for our students to excel in.

The school is also committed to excellent pastoral care and the monitoring of students. The Student Services team is keen to work with students, parents and guardians to ensure school is a safe, happy place to learn and develop into young people who demonstrate the ROAR values. Dedicated teaching staff offer a range of engaging curriculum and a diverse range of subjects and programs to cater for students with a variety of interests and needs.

Kind regards

Nathan Morton
